1200's Suddenly Stopping?

Anyone ever had a problem with a 1200 where it just stopped? I was playing
in a comp, and was just about to do my first mix, when all of a sudden the
deck stopped. I didn't have my hands anywhere near the controls at the
time, and when I pushed start again it worked. Anyone ever had this
problem? (needless to say it f^#&!d my whole set right up)

Sounds to me to be a loose plug in a powerboard or some other instant power
related issue.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but the strobe & target lights were still on,
the stupid thing just wasn't spinning.

Re: 1200's Suddenly Stopping?

same thing happened to me the other night.
i had overloaded a power board with a circuit breaker (lights, powered
speaker, decks, mixer...)
lights didn't flicker or anything but the deck just slowed to a stop even
tho it seemed to have power.
i assumed i had overloaded the board so i spread the load a bit and it
didn't happen again.
was frickin embarrassing tho; right on my first mix.

Know the feeling - needless to say I didn't win the comp!

Perhaps you should have a very close look at the power lead itself and check
it for damage.
