A Potentially Idiotic Question

x-no-archive: yes

Hi,

I wasn't sure where else to post this. I'm not even sure this is
possible. But, is there some way that I can download all of the sounds
off of my keyboard and onto my computer?

TIA!

Depends if you want ALL of the sounds or just what you play.

All of the sounds - I'd say no chance.

What you play - audio out of your keyboard to audio in on your
computer sound card and redord with the sound program of your choice.

cheers

What kinda keyboard? I would imagine Krog would have this option, I
know in the past they had disks you could put sounds on, and I think
you could download new ones, and I believe they are just wav files or
maybe some special korg file you may be able to convert.

Re: A Potentially Idiotic Question

Yes, it depends on what you want to do.
If it'a a synth and you just want to backup your patches it can be done by midi
with sysex messages, but they'll work only on that model.
If you want samples to use inside soft samplers (o a real sampler) connecting keyboard's
audio out with pc audio in, will do the job. But if you want to sample the
whole soundset in it, editing samples will require skill and lot of time
to you!
