amplifier wiring
Hi Dont know if anyone can help but here we go I am looking for a manual for a Pioneer A-5 stereo amplifier 250Watt S/N BJ 9416567S Trouble is the amp is very old and I only want to know how to wire it up to speakers without blowing it up ! Can anyone help please Thanks in advance Jood |

Easy. check speakers Ohm rating (4, 6, 8 or 16), if equal to or larger
than amp Ohm rating (4, 8, 16) plug in wires, turn on amp. You can't blow speakers unless the amp is driven into clipping (loud source input). well, never say never but... red wire into red plug.... black wire into black plug... |

or if both wires on the speakers are the same colour, look for the stripey
one. That one goes in the red. the A5 is the model which you can put 4 speakers on from what I remember. The top left 2 are your front left, top right 2 are your front right, the bottom right is your rear right and the bottom left is your rear left. If you don't get any sound check the front to check you have a and b speakers on (or just a if you want to run 2) Nice amp mate! Krissi B |
