Any advice greatly appreciated.. home studio :)

Hi all, I would greatly aapreciate any help or direction..

I am finally making the commitment to produce music ..yeah!.. dance
music is what I want to produce.. For x-mas I got a pair of Yamaha
MSP5's..

SO.. my question is.. what do I need next?

I have already..

A pc computer with a creative SB live value audio card plenty of GIGS
and ram
win pro xp..

What do I hook up the monitors too?
Should i get a Eurorack mixer? there is an inexpensive one under $100
Wuould i connect my speakers to that?
Could I connect my computer to the Eurorak mixer?
I want to be mostly software based..
Would I conect the midi keyboeard to the eurorack or the computer?
THANKS
Any advice or help is appreciated..
-Lui

I believe they are active so you just connect them the Line Out/Speaker Out
(usually green) on the back of the SBLive.

Do you need one? Unless you are using it to record multiple sources (more
than two) to a single stereo track at once I don't see why you would. You
definitely don't need it for mixing or playback.

Depends.

Sure.

Then forget the mixer.

> Would I conect the midi keyboeard to the eurorack or the computer?

Either. The computer will be fine. Connect it's audio outs to the Line In
(usually blue) on the SBLive. Get a gameport-to-MIDI converter to connect
the MIDI ports.

Tell us what you want to do with what you have.
