Any OTS DJ users?

I ask because I am thinking of upgrading from PCDJ to OTS. I originally
wanted to start with OTS but didn't want to fork out the money for it. I
would really like Master Tempo, and I think the biggest thing is the ability
during Autoplay for OTS to sense where the song ends and be able to mix
between songs without waiting until there is a set amount of time left. I
have used the demo and would really like to make the switch.

I have been watching the www.otsdj.com website for quite some time and
noticed they have been promising an update to 2.0, but so far nothing has
happened. So here are a few questions:

1. If I am to purchase OTS, should I buy the version that will allow me to
have a "free" upgrade to 2.0?
2. How long will it take for me to switch from PCDJ to OTS, taking into
account how OTS needs to analyze all of your music to learn the peaks,
beginnings, endings, etc? I have roughly 6000 tunes, in various subfolders.
3. If you have used PCDJ before and know how simplistic it is to setup the
mulitple sound card option for head phone cueing and the line outs to mixer,
is OTS simliarly simplistic?

Any other helpful advice is much appreciated. I would like to move on this
rather quickly as I'd like to get the purchase in for the 2003 tax season.

Tim

Re: Any OTS DJ users?

I use Otsdj as a backup for my Denon DN-9000 player. I also use it at
cocktail parties and gigs like that. Otsdj is very easy to use. 2.0 is
taking forever to get here. Some hardware that might interest you is the DJ
Console from Hercules. It's a dual mixer/soundcard/controller that's
compatible with Otsdj and other software.

Here's a link:

Hope this helps. Happy Holidays!
