At The Crossroads...a question and answer guide to the music business
Is the story of a band and its growth. Crossroads history becomes the
20/20 hindsight that can help you reach your dreams. "At the Crossroads" is a combination of this history and a "how to" book that will answer some difficult questions concerning the music business. We constantly found ourselves trying to make decisions about what the next step should be to get us closer to our dream. We set out to be "recording artist", but it was amazing how many times we found ourselves at a "crossroads", looking for the right direction to turn. We also found that most other authors who have written books about the band business were already so successful that they tended to skip over a lot of the nitty-gritty work that it took to organize a very young band. Almost like they never had any of those uncomfortable moments where they were suckered, or nobody would listen, or things just seemed to be falling apart and it didn't seem possible to salvage the pieces and go on. There were a lot of flaws in our plans, but we worked through them and learned from our mistakes. We now have an insight that might help other young musicians avoid the pitfalls that we had to encounter while growing up. Believe it, a band is just like a child, it has to grow up too. Opportunities, breaks, whatever you want to call them do not become even a slim chance without a mature musical organization. You need to be ready! Put yourself in front of the door when opportunity knocks and be as ready as you can to fulfill your dreams. Buy it today at http://www.fetzerpublishing.com |
