I am looking for some good Electronic music sites which offer free mix or song downloads. I have seen a number of decent ones, but i'm looking for more.

Can anyone suggest some for me to check out?

I tend to "friend surf" on Myspace to find new artists I might never hear of otherwise. Start with a well known one and work down their buddy list looking for artists/labels. Every garage band these days has a Myspace and posts music on there.

Another good suggestion is that sometimes newspapers post garagebands now too - they link their site(s) too, but that may link to MySpace or another site - but could benefit either way.

At least my newspaper advertises garagebands every Sunday.

Try searching Audiognomes.com, which I have name-dropped about 100 times!

They have a ton of awesome music mixes, which should hopefully please everyone. So be sure to check them out, and see what you think if you haven't already.

I have seen some places like the social sites that will allow you to have your music on there, and I have also seen some random up-loader sites that will let you upload your own music, but they make you pay a certain amount each month, rather than per song that is downloaded, I'm not sure if thats better or not, as sometimes bugs happen with software. I would try the social sites and the classifieds first, I always find garage bands there.

I am not sure how much electronic music they have but you could try seekasong.com or emp3world.com, they offer free music downloads. There's also a site for independant artists called soundclick.com, you never know you might find your next favourite artist.

Is Audiognomes.com free? I have been looking around myself and I see so many that charge a fee thats fine for a month but what happens when they don't give a free trial or anything I don't want to end up wasting my money.
