Following on from the success of "Feeling of music" on our recent 2008 sampler, Boogs Music proudly present the "Heatwaves EP" from Simple Inc aka Mark Gregson, three tracks of UK underground house at its finest. The deep and progressive "Feeling of music" starts the ball rolling with its hypnotic percussion, pulsing bass groove and catchy-as-sin synthy/saxy melody. Peaktime funky stormer "La terraza" brings the tempo up to fever pitch with a grinding, driving slap bass pushing the track along, seamlessly blended with atmospheric electric piano work and FX'ed vocal stabs used to excellent effect. The title track of the EP "Heatwaves" gives a respite to the pressure, deep and mesmerising piano work with a heavy, repetitive bass and minimal percussion carrying the mood. Lucius Lowe steps in on remix duties, with two blinding reworkings of "La terraza" and "Heatwaves."
