CD DJ gear

Hi. Been doing some searching for a CD deck. My main concerns are
scratch quality and I'd like a deck with digital outputs. This is
mostly to augment my own productions, not for live mixing. Been
looking at Technics - SLDZ1200 and some Pioneer stuff.

Any experience/suggestions?

Thanks!

If you can get a demo of the Technics, ask them to switch from CD mode
to bintl mode while the disc is playing - it won't do it without
stopping!

The Pioneer CDJ1000's do pretty much everything, including holding
your cuepoints and loops (provided you remember to put them into the
memory) and take an SD memory card as well.

The Pioneer is the standard that the top-name DJs demand when they
play out, and having a pair of them (with a Pioneer djm 600 mixewr)
gets me xtra work and rentals.

On looks alone, it's the Technics every time; but for practicality and
reliability go for the Pioneers - if they're not in your budget then
the cdj800 might do as well.

cheers

BJ
