Regarding the question which decks to buy, it depends on your budget. Obviously, the more expensive they are, the better they perform. You should at least start in the middle range, think of Gemini and Stanton around 170 quid a piece.
Maybe you can score a second-hand Technics 1200/1210 on ebay or something.
A lot of equipment-dealers also have good package-deals, so maybe you'll have a better mixer with it too.
