This is post four in my saga of making the transistion from CD's to Laptop
DJing. I have installed PCDJ Red and played with its settings for a few days
now, and it is great except for the inability to lock the pitch while
adjusting the BPM (I know the feature is in FX but I have heard it is still
too buggy to trust 100%).
I purchased the Edirol UA-1A as my external sound card and am just thrilled
with it because XP already has the drivers for it. Now it is time for a 2-3
channel (left and right line inputs) and two mic input MIXER. I have asked
in previous posts about a mixer such as this and no one could offer a 10",
or other SMALL mixer that has TWO mic inputs, and at least two, preferably
three line inputs.
Any suggestions?

why not use one mic from the mixer and the other connect it to the soundcard
(it should have one for sure).
i don't know about dj mixers with more than one mic input. you could try
little studio mixers, but then, no xfade not other stuff.

I was hoping for something a lot smaller, but thanks for the suggestion.

You should be able to use a phono channel for a spare mic. The voltages are
about the same.

It would probably sound terrible due to the RIAA equalisation for phono
inputs. Check this graph out to see what cut and boost your voice would get
http://www.bonavolta.ch/hobby/images/audio/riaa.gif . I haven't tried it
myself, if you dropped the mic you would likely blow the cones out of your
subs with so much bass boost.
Righto

I see that the Soundcraft Spirit E Series mixer has separate inputs on some
channels , as well as standard mic inputs. In this case, then the RIAA
preamp will be on the Phono input, not on the mic input. Have a look at
http://www.soundcraft.com/products/eseries_home.html
