I have a question pertaining to club djing when you get started. Most of my works have come through knowing some managers and event organizers , but I don't advertise for that. I would like to know how do you promote yourself or get yourself noticed to get more work ?
I think the people who are listening to your DJing are the ones who will help you advertise your skills in making music. If they like your music then you will be talk about how awesome you play your music. Then wherever you may go, people will just go there to listen and enjoy your DJing. Then some company or manager might see you and if your lucky, they might give you a deal to play on exclusive clubs.

I know that word of mouth always works wonders. Also I know a couple that have saved a couple of pennies and did professional photo shoots, and used them for marketing. Might be worth a shot!
Try to be unique. Don't go against the flow of DJing for you will eventually be turned down but make cool additions in your music. You will notice if people like the selection of music that you are playing so observing them will give a hint on how to make them happy. In the end, your own uniqueness will promote you to be invited in parties and clubs.
The first thing is to always be at your best, it doesn't matter what the occassion is, be it big or small. You never know who is there. Try to go with the audience, after all you are catering to their needs. Finally be groovy yourself, enjoy the music, do a few dance moves, and avoid being full of yourself.
