I was just wondering what keeps you guys going all night long. Do you use any kind of substances, legal or illegal, or is it just the simple rule: healthy food, lots of sleep and water? What's your recipe?
I just have a good night sleep beforhand, take it easy with the booze the first couple of hours and stick to my beloved Wodka-Redbull later on. That keeps me going past the dreaded down. :)

when i´m spinnin´i usually just drink red bull and loads and loads of water....
ok, one or 2 beers ...but never too much.
but it once happened, that there was a fridge only for the Djs filled with everything the alcoholic-heart beats for: vodka, champagne, havanna club, beer, red bull, wine, almost everything...i HAD to drink some of these, u know...;)

I make use of certain substances once in while, but actually never before I play. I like to stay focused on what I do and to keep a certain degree of controll.
For the rest, I'm more of a water kind of guy. "Pure Kaltes Klares Wasser" (chicks on speed).
Music gets me high as well you see. :)

Usually I don't drink much when I'm DJing. It's a little annoying if you have to run to the bathroom every half hour. :D
I try to get enough sleep before a gig and normally don't drink alcohol when I have to work (except for one or two beers at most).
I would guess though that tossit has different standards. I am quite happy if a party goes on until 5 am, but instead of going to bed then, you techno guys normally try to find some after-hour party then, right? :p

Well, it's a kind of true. It also depends where you live as in Belgium are different opening-times than in Germany or the UK. When I am going out I'm usually home at about 7-8 a.m. and skipp a large part of the afterhour. It keeps my tan fresh and tasty.
But I do know some colleagues who get up at 6 a.m. to play in afterhour-clubs until way past noon. On a normal sunday afternoon where everybody is sitting around the family-tabel eating applepie and getting annoyed by their relatives, they get drunk and play funky music. God I love this job.
