One of the biggest arguments in electronic music has been raging for quite some time. Personally, I feel both have their place. Analog synths can be a lot more fun to mess around with, and seeing what sounds you can get out of them. Digital however seems to be more precise, which unfortunately removes a lot of the experimentation out of the process. Guess it all depends on what you are trying to go for, and how much patience you have. Thoughts?

Personally, I always liked Analog better. To each his own I guess, but Analog just seems to be more fun. The biggest problem I see with Digital it is quite often abused by lazy musician's who just think they can make some crappy album with some computer program, and sell it off as something even remotely creative or interesting.

Yeah, that's my biggest problem with Digital also. The complete overuse and abuse that we see on a regular basis in modern electronic music. When everyone uses the same programs with the same settings, everything begins to sound the same.

I have never had this debate before. Is there a place you can suggest I can hear both and compare? I can understand digi/any for phones, but no idea how it works with music (since I listen but dont make any).
