As the topic say's, tell us about your various attempts at hosting a party. Personally I tried once, unfortunately things fell apart due to elements out of my control. Maybe i'll try again, but probably not anytime soon. Just going to others parties seems to be more fun for me.

I was planning to have one a while back, but it never even made it past that planning stage. There was just way too much crap involved, and I didn't think it was worth the headaches. Although I may try eventually, my situation would have to be a bit different than it currently is.

I have found out the hard way, planning a large party without much help is a pain. It is always better to have help than try to do it alone. I failed terribly, so if anyone has any pointers I am all for jotting down notes.
