Anyone going out to buy the books tonight? I'm not, I'm just wondering.
Well I dont think I will be. I have the first two books but I lost interest after that.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who isn't that great a fan. A friend of mine has a son who won the competition to be at the midnight lanch signing thing in London - one of 1000 kids from around the country or something like that - he was the envy of his school!
What did people think of the film of the other book?

I read the last book in a few days, and I've read all seven. I'm not hooked or obsessed, it was just something I grew up with, and it only felt right to finish it out proper.

Harry Potter is corny i just cant feel it at all. LOTR is better, both the books an movies.

I really liked both the books and the movies. For me, it isn't a lack on interest. I just hate reading a series. I get all into the story, and it goes on, and on... and then. Poof. I loved the films as well, but I'm still avoiding those last couple of books. I like to think that I'm saving them, for a really special occasion. The Lord of the Rings books were only memorable for the story. Which proves that writers like Tolkien, can get by on just a brilliant story, even if the writing sucks.
