hi...am a newcomer to the world of bedroom djing. I have a numark cdmix 2 and need some advice in the best way of linking this with my pc in order to burn cds of my mixes. any advice gratefully received...thanks:afro:

record out (or booth out) on your numark => line-in in your soundcard.
don't forget to change the setting of your soundcard accordingly (record -> line in)

thanks T but what about software for converting the analogue sound coming in, to sound files?

You just need an audio editor/recorder. There are tons of it on the net or they are often included in the software bundel for your cd/dvd writer.
Check out Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about.php) . It's free, it does the job and it is very clearly documented.

I use Sonic Foundry and wavelab. Not the cheapest but you get a lot of control.
