I am debating starting to experiment more with the electronic side of DJing, but my current laptop is woefully inadequate. Funds are also a little tight or else I wouldn't be asking this question.

Do you think it is possible to get away with just having a nice windows machine? Maybe with XP so it isn't too resource intense. Or should I wait and buy a mac instead?
