If you've ever tried making a demo, does it feel like you screew up more when you do it then normally? I have been trying to do it on my own lately, and I just can't get it perfect.

I tend to agree with that , atleast in my case. When I try getting a demo right , I feel I could have done it much better even after several attempts . However, even without trying it comes out good when I am not working on a demo. I don't know why this is so . Probably, I get too conscious when trying a demo.

Nerves play a big part, I have noticed if you can not worry so much, and just have fun with it, the better it ends up being. I have the same issue when I sing sometimes for people, and I get the giggles real bad. :)

Does anyone still use tapes to do demos with, just wondered if you can, how cheaper it is compared to doing your own CD?

I can relate to everyone else on this. Something may seem so perfect, before you sit down to record a demo of it. Maybe things will sound very slightly different than you remember it, but that slight difference can piss you off so bad!
