So I went out last weekend to a Battle of the Bands as crew. Needless to say we started at 4am Saturday and finished sometime Sunday morning between 1-3am (not actually sure as we talked a bit before leaving). At the end of the day my feet really hurt. I wore a pair of trail running sneakers and I normally don't have issues but it got me thinking maybe I need some of those gel inserts for longer gigs. Have any of you used any you really liked?

Nope. My feet will hurt no matter what I wear. I have heel spurs, so I have constant foot pain and have done since I was about eighteen (over a decade now). If it gets really bad I bring a couple of ice blocks to stand on (like the sort you put in picnic baskets).

The Gellin shoe inserts are worth a try. But really they are better for when you are walking a lot, and not so good for when you are just standing for long periods of time. I am not sure you will find a whole lot to help you for that.
