Hi twins,

you may be in the same situation like sami (aka DJ Toxx) - so perhaps zake a closer look at my advice in his thread (http://www.deejayforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71).

About the name: Your choice of DJ name should be something that has a personal connection with you/your life. Normally it's impossible to help you at that point, 'cause nobody here knows you...

Also, the Dj game is getting wider now. Two decks and a mixer wont get you very far in chicago unless you got something special to offer - That can take years so my advice would be to get a cheap FX rack from the start and make it a proper part of your arsenal. Something with a basic echo and flange.
Get that and I'll show you how to use it to good effect with minimum learning.

Buy the book "How to DJ properly" by Bill Brewster and some other dude, invaluable if you really are starting from scratch (no pun intended!)
