Why do/did you want to become a DJ?

Who is/has influencing/ed your style of music?

For me it is just a spur of the moment kinda thing

Wouldn't really call my self a DJ, but I'm here to learn!

I just want to learn the art of Djaying so I can do a better job as a Dj for my friends and family.I don't think I can be a professional Dj or take it as a career option , but as a hobby I can improve my knowledge.

I want to learn DJing because I like different kinds of music genre and beats, I became curious on how to mix them together so that I could enjoy listening to both music with a rhythmic beat. I would not use this talent for profit but for pleasure making with my friends or family.

I got started net DJ'ing back when my favorite forum first incorporated a radio station into its site. I loved the idea of sharing my music with people.

I think what most influenced my taste in music is me. I'm eclectic, scatterbrained... I have a great sense of humour, and a lot of my music is satirical, or funny. I love German culture, food, sound, the goth scene there, the language, so naturally, love the music too.

But I love all music, really, and kind of just, impulsively said "Hey, that looks fun!" and picked it up.

I have met a couple of people that DJ on the side, one is my ex roommate (oddly DJ's at a strip club - go figure), another does block parties but has moved onto being the host more than the DJ the past few years, and the last is the only female in the scene I know. She can hang with the big boys, and I have heard her tinker around abit, she could run circles around some I'm sure of it. I know I am not one that could DJ, but it might be fun to mess around on someones beater if I were allowed. :)
