Dj's or Singer's???

There are lot's of different musics that are now being played in radio station's, Bar's, etc...

Music or songs are created for the purpose of self expressions and entertaining people. But right now, music dominates almost all the entertainment industries in the universe. From movies that have soundtracks, T.V's, event's, etc. If there is no music, it will be dull, it will be full of silence...

But, who is really much more important when it comes to their profession. A DJ who mixes different songs, creates a background music and soundtracks, etc. or a singer who sings what composer gave to them and make it popular?

Both require tremondous skill and talent. Sometimes you can't have one without the other, it is kind of like Ying and Yang.

I'd say its a definite combination. Yes you can just have instrumentals, but normally they use instruments to replace a singer and stand out above the other sounds. so its not really completely different. You can also have just a singer without accompanyment. Each sounds good, but having music and a vocal compliment eac other, and do it well is normally even better.

Yeah, I think it's always a combination of those two. But independently, I singer can be a DJ's by just learning the things most DJ's do right? But a DJ could not be a singer even though he or she study how to sing if they don't really have a good voice?

I don't think it could be put any better. Seldom, do I buy an album for the singer/artist, most of the time I end up only liking a few songs. With a DJ and all techno music, I end up liking many more. For me I guess its a toss up, if the lyrics match what I am trying to invison then its all good.

I think both are equally important. When there were no Djs ,we used to listen to a song many times , but there comes a time when you want to do anything else but listen to 'that song. It's not that the song or the singer becomes any worse ,it's just that you want some change in style and taste. That's where the dj comes in. He mixes the tracks in the right way so that the music remains contemporary and yet the originality of the songs are maintained. If a singer is a creater , a Dj is a preserver. You can't do without either.

I think your right penguin.. The DJ's is the one who's preservign the music. In addition to that, they are the one who's enhancing the music and sounds. What they do is they make it more better and compile the best musics what listener wants to hear. They are existing to make us really enjoy the true enhanced and artistic combiantions of musics and sounds.

If I can feel the song and it moves me in any way good or bad, the artist and DJ have both done their jobs. Otherwise I can listen to something new and dislike it in moments of hearing it, if I can last the entire song, its all rocking.

Musics exist only to entertain us and remind us the important of life. It can be a history or life of an individual person. Music makes us happy and sad depending on our present situation or how can we take it. Means, the true value of music is how we take it.

Nice discussion going here. There is a saying like "Music is the language of the soul". That is true and also because language has different tongues so as music has different types. Whichever you are comfortable with listening then you will have to choose that.

Now regarding singers and DJ's, this will also apply to what I have mentioned above. There are people who like singers better than music done by DJ's. The other half of people likes the lively beat of the DJ's playing. So we really can't make a decision which of these two is more important. It depends solely on the listener.
