File Sharing Apps -- Recommendations?
I've been using Kazaa forever and am wondering if anyone has a better
application in mind? I tried Limewire, but it rarely is successful. I tried WinMX but it takes forever and I've had little luck. Kazaa is a pain with the ads, but it seems to work the fastest and easiest. My friend recommended Soulseek? Its like $24 for 2 years, but you can't try it before you buy it. Any help out there? Thanks |

Re: File Sharing Apps -- Recommendations?
I use Limewrie exclusively. It is fairly successful. Are you on broadband or
dialup? If you are on dialup you probably won't find much luck with anything that doesn't have a central database server. Remeber that file sharing is what you make of it. If you can share something that isn't available, you only make the service better. Leech's is what kills it. Also try a google on "Torrents". Cheers. Re: File Sharing Apps -- Recommendations?
Just to add to the conversation, if I may...
Soulseek is readily available to use free of charge at http://www.slsknet.org/ I use it regularly and don't experience any kind of major torments. Just going back to Emo's point, sharing is what it's all about. There are some real helpful people use Soulseek and many always willing to show you around as it were. Need any more help then just post again and we will try and sort it for you. Re: File Sharing Apps -- Recommendations?
I tried Soulseek, wasn't that good in my opinion, I searched for some
good songs, nothing came up, but I've been using Limewire for quite I while, I like it but I only hate the Java interface, makes some of my programs go a little crazy and it takes too much resouces DJ Creaminal On Tue, 06 Jul 2004 11:54:18 GMT, "Gio" <me@me.co.uk> wrote: >Just to add to the conversation, if I may... > >Soulseek is readily available to use free of charge at >http://www.slsknet.org/ I use it regularly and don't experience any kind of >major torments.
