Re: Good BMP Calculator

its "BPM" (if you're talking about Beats Per Minute) and are you talking
about devices or software?

You should use JPG for pictures. Not BMP.

Re: Good BMP Calculator

dudes, dudes

I'm pretty sure he ment BPM

think about it, this is a DJ forum

I've been using this one for a while, It's a free little program. You
simply tap your space bar on your keyboard for a little while and it
averages it out for you.

http://www.accsi.com/bpm/

I ordered a vestax beat-1 a long time ago from my local Guitar Center but
haven't heard anything yet. It's a little hand held device.
I lost my receipt so I can't actually prove that I bought one.

Re: Good BPM Calculator (my mistake)

it is a very cheap way of mixing, and sometimes unreliable. But on the
other hand, some people cant count bpms... i'd have to say that bpm counters
give a ball park value rather than a closer value when doing it by hand.

hope that helps.

Re: Good BPM Calculator (my mistake)

you don't need to know how fast in bpm it is really, as long as you know
where beat one is and you can synchronize beats... just keep counting 1 up
to 32 then start again, normally something will be different every 8 bars in
the music....

Re: Good BPM Calculator (my mistake)

I Count Everything and then label it.

I honestly only do it for those moments when I'm in a panic cause I have no
clue of what record to put on next.
Sometimes you might think that a record is about 133, you got to play it and
you've pitched it up so high that it sounds
like your playing the Chipmunk Funk Remix.

Now that I've been using Final Scratch, I also put the BPM in the ID3tag so
I'm able to sort my entire list by bpm when I have to.

Technology is a beautiful thing.
