Need new headphones since my Technics RPF500 is starting to crackle
badly on right cup

I've had it for 12months but usage is average ~11hours/day everyday.

Which one would be best worth the money?

Sony MDRV700DJ
http://products.sony.co.uk/productde...p?id=14_39_185

Technics RP-DJ1200
http://www.panasonic.co.uk/technics-...1200/index.htm

Pioneer HDJ-1000
http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_...nomy_id=44-216

TIA.

Re: headphones

I know everybody hates Radio Shack but they offer a lifetime warranty on
Headphones. My friend has replaced 2 already no problem.

Re: headphones

The problem is that he's replaced two already. Radio Shack does not
sell any good headphones.

I run with good cans at the moment, but lived on radio shack cans for about
ten years. Had one set last me four and a half years. Until I left them at
a gig. grrr

Sony MDR7506, or Audio Technica ATH-M40. Less dear, and better as well.

Re: headphones

Ah, he's replaced 2 but you are ASSuming they are bad, more over they get
dropped alot. Mic's and Headphones don't do well dropped from 3 and 4 feet
for some reason. We have people that like to imitate Roger Daltry and swing
Mic's and drunks who drop them and drunks that like to hear songs and then
drop your headphones. Unless you have a lifetime gaurantee on a pair of $160
headphones then I think you're an idiot for buying $160 headphones. I will
never ever see the point of $160 headphones in a Club. I don't know of a
club that pushes Stereo they all push MONO so who gives a shit how perfect
the Track is. Unless your club or you are running top of the line Amps,
Crossovers, cables and Speakers it's not the same as your house then. I
won't spend $10 on a pair either but $30 if sufficient for closed ear cans.
I find it very difficult to track and cue on open ear phones in a LOUD club.
So your hear the detailed twang on the flange guitar in a song but thats OFF
YOUR CUE from the Mixer Not whats coming out the club system or yours.
Now if your a classical music lover and wnat to sit down and listen to
Debussy you may want the $160 phones then I could side with them, but that's
it.
