Re: London virtual DJ ?
Tell you what> I was in the Computer Music discussion group getting the
"are you a space alien?" treatment because of my post. If someone who knows sequencer software joins my band on stage and plays all the loops and samples that you just can't play live, such as strings, drum loops - what would you term them? The term virtual DJ seems to fit but the purists say "no" Is my entire concept so difficult to imagine? LOL... a more aggressive, arrogent group of immature arses you will not find... maybe the responce was to be expected...> If someone who knows sequencer software joins my band on stage and plays > all the loops and samples that you just can't play live, such as strings, > drum loops - what would you term them? "live programmer" might be better... but then it isn't right either... <shrugs>... when you consider how the term "singer" is being misused today, i don't think you should worry too much! ![]() squig +¤ |

Re: London virtual DJ ?
How about:- Someone who know everything you know who can get up of their
fat ass and entertain instead of sneering at anything new. Of course if you know another way of playing beats that drummers can't do, flutes, steel drums, and string in the same piece DO let me know. Your alternative is to let Simon Cowles' 3-piece "puppet" groups kakaoki to tapes, watch "tribute bands" or endless indifferent "rawk" bands . What would we call that?
