Matching Beats?

How do you really get a feel for what sounds good together and what doesn't? I am not intuitive in this area, and would probably make a horrible DJ... lol

I'd be all "hey, this is interesting" cause I like weird things. And everyone else would be like "someone kill her before my ears bleed!"

I think you just need to trial and error it, best way to hear it when you actually "hear it".

What is one good cheap program we can all use, and we can test some beats, just screwing around of course - I'm no pro!

I think hearing what your doing is the best way to do it. No one is a great dj overnight. Lots of trail and error. Some just start before others, and some just getting it quicker than others.

And sometimes that *odd* beat you put atop another is the next new best thing!

The first time I tried my luck, I came prepared ready to be thrown out of the party, lol.I know I enjoy what I listen , but getting people to like it and dance to your tune is a different ball game.I am more comfortable with known faces in the crowd than total strangers on the floor.
