money no object, which DJ software to use?
Hi folks, I know this has probably been discussed ad nauseam, but what's
the best current DJ software to be using? The guy I was talking to last Sat int he club showed me "Virtual DJ", but I've never used any DJing software before. I want to buy something, with a paper manual, so I can read it all, and really make the most of it, in the true sense of the word cracker... I've a lot of experience using a Pioneer DJM500, and a pair of Pioneer CDJ 700s (the little ones that replace the CDJ 500II's, and apparently Virtual DJ has Pioneer skins, but does it have the effects as well? What do you guys use? I have a demo version of Ableton live version 5, that is complete, and not time limited, but will not save... I've a feeling this may totally blow my mind though, and is like using a sledgehammer to de-shell a peanut! What do you guys recommend? And what machine specs would I need? I have 512 Mb of RAM at the mo, and just the onboard sound and graphics. Would I need to buy a pair of sound cards? Apparently, if I ad another sound or graphics card, then it switches off the on board! Thanks, Alex. DJ 'Thatis' {pronounced "Tha teeeece"} pka DJ LX. -.-. --.- -.. -..- -.. . --. --... -.-. --. .-.
