music lovers around the world will take a vow to not buy music from any
record label or any music artist who supports suing people who share
music over he internet. Music lovers will also stop buying music from
record labels who rip off their artists. Every record label must sign
the Music Artist's Bill of Rights! If a record label will not sign the
Music Artist's Bill of Rights, we won't buy music from that record label!

Re: Nationwide Halloween RAVE Against RIAA!!

so I love the P2P stuff out there... (with that said)....
you know what would be a bigger statement...

Throw a rave playing only music that you had bought because of music that
you downloaded.

I think Courtney Love said it best a few year back when she said (and I
paraphrase) "Napster is going to make artists put out good albums and not
just a good single"

I have a stack of PURCHASED CDs that I purchased because I downloaded a few
songs and then went out and bought the CD... I also have a folder full of
songs that I never went out and bought the CD because there was only one
good song on it.

and as far as not buysing CDs because you can't afford it.... I can't afford
an European Sports car either....

Sorry if this comes accross wrong, but I think you guys are onto something
that could be a powerful message, but the way you have it now... I think its
just amunition for the RIAA.
Why not higlight the guys that are buying music based on P2P or the peopel
that would buy music if it was available as opposed to the people saying I
can't afford it so I amy as well use P2P (which in the RIAA's view is steal
music).

Speaking of good albums...
Outkast's new double-cd album does good.

First it's two cds, so... you'd spend about the same money on it as you
would a regular cd, and if you tried to download all the stuff, it would
take twice as long.

Second, the album is really good.

Although I don't agree with the RIAA's approach, I do feel that
downloading music without paying is stealing. Stealing from the rich to
give to the poor is still illegal and stealing. What we should do is push
the RIAA to make music agailable on-line for a nominal cost. Apple has
the right idea with their ITunes store. Let me buy just the track I need,
not an entire album that I will never play.

Just my 2 cents!

Hmmm, what Robin Hood was doing (stealing) was highly illegal at the time.
Does that make it wrong, though? Just something to think about.......
