It's 3am and I cant sleep, what do I think of at this hour? Good old school Hip/Hop of course. So here is my test for those when you awaken as I will be attempting sleep very shortly. Do you know any of these artists?
Jam Master Jay, DJ Easy Lee, Afrika Bambaataa, Whiz Kid, Boogie Boys, Jimmy Spicer, Freddy B & The Mighty Mic Masters Just some more fun stuff to think about that I am working on a trivia for our community here. Love all kinds of music, and being a knowledge one, I have much to teach you young Jedis. ![]() |

Well I don't know any of those, but I do know of some that came out of the disco era. If you try and search online the 1970's hip hop classics on a Wiki page you will find this; A 1952 episode of the American radio police drama Dragnet used the phrase "old school" to describe a fictional early Hollywood film director's differences from his younger colleagues.
Now while I don't remember watching that show the time this episode aired, I do first remember hearing the words "old school" and by all the parents during that time everyone said it would just be a fad, it would end as shortly as it started up, seems that never happened. Anyone know who Eddie Cheeba is? Now while I have listened to some of these musicians for many years, I never really classified any into a clique or tried to label them. Maybe I have been cool the whole time and just didn't know it! |
