Originally from East Germany, Paul van Dyk is known around the world for his soul-awakening music uplifting clubbers and critics alike. He broke into the club scene as a DJ in Berlin in 1991 and released his first record in 1992. With production skills that matched his prowess behind the turntables, PvD remixes and original tracks earned him gigs across Europe.

His productions have been described as "beats streak across mind-expanding mixes of heartfelt melodies and luminous celestial synths like a meteorite shower in the night sky." Great article just found on a website, I have been trying to find a ton of German DJ's so besides this one, does anyone have any suggestions? I am trying to put something together for a friend of mine that misses some stuff from back home (Germany), figured since they love music this would be a great thing. My plan is to get an entire website (just plan HTML) and send them to it as a surprise, you know, password protect it, so its all secret and only for them.

So I need a little help, thanks all!

PS The hotter the better, friend is all about guys with nice vibes and good peepers!

Believe it or not, I actually haven't heard much by Mr. Van Dyk. What I have heard was quite enjoyable however.

Definitely an artist I need to invest some further listening in.

I think his work comes in spurts. Thats the only way I could phrase it. It seems its every so often that he does work, but when he does, its amazing.

I've heard a bit of his work and it's quite impressive indeed. It seems that the majority of the talent of DJing and the sort comes from Europe as of late. Then again, isn't this forum mainly from Germany or something?
