Pioneer CDJ 1000 vs Technics SL- DZ1200

I already made up my mind to get the pioneer cdj believing it was the
best out there, which I still believe. Yet then I ran across the
technics which is a little cheaper and seems really good as well. Im
wondering what features do one of them have that the other doesnt and
which one would u recommend getting. Thanks!

The CDJ1000. Check the DJ forums (www.djforums.com) and search for it...
I've heard a lot of people having problems with the Techs, and Pioneer
just has a excellent track record for build quality and longevity.

Re: Pioneer CDJ 1000 vs Technics SL- DZ1200

Anyone that I spoke to said that the technics are cool at first but
they seem to have issues over time. I was also told that they cannot
handle any type of scratching if the pitch is adjusted to high, and
that the sound just comes out like electric static.

IF you are looking for a vinyl feel, I tried out the Numark CDX, and
those where pretty nice, they are just real big for a cd player.

Re: Pioneer CDJ 1000 vs Technics SL- DZ1200

I have used the Pioneers and the Denon 5000s. Both are great players.. But
the scratching is really electronic. The denon has the ability to remove a
CD and load another without loss of sound.. Something really handy if
another deck goes down. The platter on the denon spins too, giving more of
the vinyl feel.
