Presenting Party Games (in club)

Hi,

One of the venues I currently work in wants me to start doing some games on
stage as well as DJ. I've done this before but I don't know enough suitable
games to vary it from week to week. They want a few simple but entertaining
things adding to the night.
Can anyone offer advice on what I should do or what I need to think about?
If you've ever come across any websites with some examples I'd appreciate
the details.
The audience I play to is students aged around 18 - 25ish.
They do like to take part in the night. I think any male vs. female games
would work well, as always.

Any help at all would be great.
Thanks
Gary.

PS. You need to remove the spam filter from my email address to reply to me
personally. Otherwise post to group. Thanks again.

Re: Presenting Party Games (in club)

A few other things I added in Clubs are a Version of the Dating Game and
American Bandstands Uncscramble the Name Game after a Dance Contest.
Also occassionally I do a Nuts & Bolts night. Each girl gets a Nut and each
Guy gets a Bolt (Plenty of Shapes and Sizes), they walk around trying to fit
them together. Just buy like 20 packages and separate into 2 bowls and hand
em out when they come in.
And still my FAVORITE is Selectrocution. You need an LED MEssage board and
name tag for guy and girls. Each one posts a message with savory content to
a person they wish to meet.

I have 2 DJ mates who DJ in a funky bar on a Sunday night. They are well
established DJ's in my area and they only do this Sunday night thing to try to
get punters thru the doors - and for a good laugh. They are a great laugh and
talk on the mic quite a lot with their own witty patter. Basically anything
goes on a sunday but the management want them to come up with fresh ideas on a
regular basis. They had all the guys up playing naked coin toss last week, this
is when you flip a coin and whoever is closest to the wall wins. Got a good
crowd reaction. They have done all sorts of things like filming a drunk guy
from the pub (who they urged to do it) going across the road into the fish and
chip shop and giving the lady who serves the chips dogs abuse...the guy ended
up being chased from the chip shop by the owner with a rolling pin, it was very
funny and even funnier when they played the video back on the big screen. They
also re-created a well known british tv advert out in the street with 20 people
from the pub. Try filming a few skits and sketches thru the week with your
mates on a video camera...really stupid things which are fucked up and dumb, do
a small bit of editing on the camcorder then have the grand film premier on ur
night...nothing more than 20 minutes though... It could work if you thought
about it. The hard thing is to keep things fresh. Just remember that all you
want to do is to make people laugh, thats all. Good luck
