Records, Columbus OH USA, for the week of 10-16 November 2003. All titles

Beyonce "Baby Boy" White ENG 12 - Serge Santiago, one of the members of
Radio Slave (who did that remix on Kylie "Slow" from last week) with a
bootleg reworking of Beyonce's 2nd hit. On the flip is a reworking of Lil

Energy 52 "Café Del Mar 2003" White ENG 12 - hard dance reworking by
Sabotage of this classic trancer, flipside has a hard dance mashup of Misjah
"Access" with Shrink's "Nervous Breakdown" - US$10.49

Madonna "Hollywood" White ENG 12 - new electro remix circulating as
"Hollywood Gigolo", flipside has a reworking of Nick Holder's "Summer Daze".

New Order "Blue Monday 2003" White ENG 12 Part 3 - New bootleg mix by
Infusion in a progressive direction with a hint of a retro feel added to the
mix. Contains full vocals. Catalog Number on it is BNVS001. US$10.49

NRG "Never Lost His Hardcore 2003" White ENG 12 - Updated 2003 reworking of
this rave anthem in a contemporary UK Hard Dance style. The vocal, the synth
hook all there in full effect. US$10.49

Prince "Uptown 2003" White ENG 12 - 2 new reworkings of this Prince classic
in a bumpy disco house style. One from YUG, the other from Ian 45 Carey.

Christina Aguilera "Can't Hold Us Down" BMG ENG 12 - finally on vinyl, the
Sharp Boys Remix and dub of the massive pop hit for Christina featuring Lil
Kim. Big bouncy beats and full vocals. US$9.99

DB Boulevard "Hard Frequency" Airplane ITA 12 - Smooth, shuflly discofied
houser with light floating synthwork, flowing rtythm lines and a catchy
whispered male vocal hook worked into the production. Includes a remix by
Megahertz that has a bit of a harder edge to the production. US$9.99

Tania Evans "Come Into My Life" Le Bien et Le Mal GER 12 - solid
disco-tinged instrumentation and a strong vocal performance from the former
lead singer of Culture Beat combine for a fun, funky house production.

Evolved "Afrika (The Drum)" Sondos USA 12 - Sondos going on a bit of a more
progressive direction with the original mix of this track, with spacious
synthwork and shuffly rhythms. The Grounded Deep mix on the flip is a
harder, darker more tribal oriented mix that fits with the growling male
vocal hooks in the mix. US$6.79

M&F "Ibiza" Link ITA 12 - Latin-tinged bigroom houser with solid rhythm
lines, festive house synthwork and a breathy female vocal hook of the title
worked into the mix. US$9.99

Massive Lust "Never" Sounds For People USA 12 and Filtered USA 12 - The US
edition of this massive progressive track is split between two separate
labels. On Filtered the solid original version is provided along with a
funky, techy reworking by Robbie Rivera. For the bigger rooms, SFP has
released a second 12" that features a remix Bellini vs Southside in a dark
Miami-tribal style while a second Robbie Rivera mix is his more typical
bigroom tech house style is on the flip. US$6.79

Midnight Society f/Alan T "Jungle Juice" Anodyne ENG 12 - Dark tribal cut
with congas ablaze, brooding synth work and vocals provided by the
irrepressible Alan T. Also includes an edgier, harder dub from Curtis

Neepols "I Can't Get Enough" Sound Division ITA 12 - Funky, slightly
discofied house track from Italy with a feel-good male vocal, solid rhythm
lines and bouncy house synthwork. US$9.99

Nine Lives "The Voice" Azuli ENG 12 - MASSIVE bigroom tribal house
roof-raiser from Azuli here with driving rhythm lines, hard-driving dark
synth lines and growling male vocals perfectly suited for the
instrumentation around it. Meant for big clubs full of fans of the drums.

Harry Romero f/Jessica Eve "Calling Me" Subliminal USA 12 - Subliminal with
another solid, techy, bumpy bigroom house track from Harry Romero with the
vocals of Ms "Shiny Disco Balls" worked into the production perfectly.

Room 5 "Music & You" Noise BNX 12 - Full commercial edition of this
follow-up to the massive "Make Luv" features solid remixes from Full
Intention and Tom Neville that combine perfectly with Oliver Cheatham's

Shaka "African Party" Fragile ITA 12 - solid commercial tribal track from
Italy that uses vocal chants similar in style to the chants in the 80s
classic "All Night Long." Also includes a more mainstream house oriented mix

Britney Spears f/Madonna "Me Against The Music" Jive USA 2x12 - One of the
big pop records in the USA this year gets the full remix treatment on this
double pack with remixes by Peter Rauhofer, Gabriel & Dresden and Passengerz

Spiller "Sola" White GER 12 - Promo edition of the next Spiller single, an
instrumental disco house track with solid rhythm lines, energetic disco

Sueno Tribal "EP 1" MODA ITA 12 - four cuts of Italian tribal with lots of
congas driving the track forward. Some tracks are purely instrumental,
others have chants, and one (Something To Drink) has a vocal hook of an

Tonka "Get Back" Vivienne GER 12 Part 1 - excellent new disco house track
from this veteran producer that features a beautiful female vocal supported
by lively house synths and steady rhythm lines. Very upbeat and positive in
feel, perfect for the fans of sophisticated feel-good house. US$9.99

Various "Born To Funk 2" Spinnin BNX 12 - Four cuts of funky, energetic
discofied house using various vocal hooks and samples (including one from
Chris Rock), all punchy and full of attitude. US$9.99

When It's Dark "The Love You Need" Revox ITA 12 - Darker Italian tribal
release with funky synth lines, heavy rhythm lines and a very catchy male
vocal worked inot the vocal mix by Luca Ricci. Also includes a dub version

Chris & Kai "Catch Me" Yoshitoshi USA 2x12 - Pretty Poison's 80s hit is
samples for both vocals and synthwork in this progressive reworking with a

Scooter "Jigga Jigga" Sheffield Tunes GER 12 - Scooter drops the hardcore
element and goes straight for the angels with this stunning anthemic trancer
with energetic synth lines paired with a gorgeous female (not vocoded!)
vocal in the breakdown. If you were a fan of Ratty "Here I Am" (Ratty is one
