Circulates as Digital Edits "I Can Try". 10.99 Usher vs Jon Cutler "Yeah It's Alright" White ENG 12 - The vocal from Usher' s current urban hit is paired with the funky house instrumental line from Jon Cutler's big underground hit for a solid mid-120s reworking. 10.99 Yes "Roundabout 2004" White USA 12 - A progressive house interpretation of the early 80s classic based around the original synth orchestration and elements of the original vocal worked in (for one mix, the other is instrumental). 7.99 House Patrick Alavi "Bodybuilding" Sismic FRA 12 - Funky French house production with a slight tech edge, driving rhythm lines and disco-flavoured synths paired with a funky, hooky male vocal. 10.49 Evers B "Get Ready" Electron FRA 12 - Yes another track based on the synth line from White Stripes "7 Nation Army" but this one has all of the production levels one expects of bigroom French tech-tinged house behind it to create a devastating reworking full of energy. Acidic guitar samples add to the fun while a vococded spoken sample of the title completes the package. 10.49 Basement Jaxx "Plug It In" XL ENG 12 - Latest single from the veteran producers features a funky, chunky tech-tinged reworking by Armand van Helden remix that compliments the saucy, seductive vocals perfectly. Also included on this release is a new 2004 rewokring of "Rendez-Vu" by Roger Sanchez that is simply brilliant. 10.49 Gianni Bini p/Dublin "Reach" Ocean Trax ITA 12 Promo - aka Bini of Bini & Martini, this is a hypnotic bigroom house cut with a massive female vocal supported by a shuffly rhythm line and a slightly acidic house synth orchestration. Solid production with the dub on the flip giving the track a more tribal feel. 10.99 Borracha "Teledisco" Stop & Go ITA 12 - samples of Chic's "Everybody Dance" synthline and vocal are woven into a solid bliend of bigroom Italian house synthwork and rhythm lines for a fun, commercial house reworking of a classic. 10.49 Louis Botella "I Can't Stand" Mi Casa USA 12 - Funky disco-flavoured house in the Olav Basoski vein with one mix featuring a hooky female vocal loop of the title while the flipside filters out the vocal to focus on the rhythm and melody of the track. 6.79 Delgado "Coffee Beats 3" Dream Beat ITA 12 - A treat for the fans of the conga, this release features a latin-tinged tribal production with a massive conga line that builds the energy level to fever pitch as a Spanish-language chant is blended in to the production. Includes a dub version that reduced the chant to a minimum and lets the conga shine through. 10.49 DJ Pierre "Sometimes I Feel" King Street USA 12 - classy vocal house production with a sassy, seductive female vocal paired with smooth disco-tinged house synth and live instrumentation and restrained rhythms that let the vocal shine through. The Wild Pitch mix on the flip thickens the synth and rhythm lines to give the track more punch while keeping the vocal the center of the show. 6.79 DJ Tocadisco "Nobody Likes (The Records That I Play)" Ultra USA 12 - For fans of the funky German electrohouse sound here is the US edition of this massive release that has topped most of the German club charts and broke the top-10 of the German pop chart to boot. Hooky female spoken vocals of the title paired with the retro-funky synth samples and slightly breakbeat rhythm patterns for a very interesting release that could just be this year' s Tomcraft "Loneliness". 6.79 Gaudino f/Crystal Waters "Destination Unknown" Robbins USA 12 and C5 - Originally released in Italy last year, this track now surfaces in the USA with the original and J Reverse mixes, full of disco-tinged house bliss, present as well as a more energetic, dubbier reworking from Silent Nick that makes less use of Crystal's catchy vocals. Breakout track on Billboard' s Club Play chart. 6.79 for the 12", 7.79 for the C5 Ghetto Kids "Jungle Express" Heavy Traxx USA 12 - catchy bigroom house piece with a hypnotic female vocal, driving rhythm lines and catchy house synths and hooks, including an air raid siren. 6.79 Ralf Gum f/Inaya Day "What I Like" Gogo GER 12 - First of two cuts featuring the talents of Ms Inaya Day on vocals, this track is the deeper of the two with a funky, chunky synth orchestration and rhythm line that works perfectly to suppor the stunning vocal. Very classy production. 10.49 Gus Gus "David 2004" Underwater ENG 12 - New 2004 remixes by Tim Deluxe that was one of the tracks on everyone's lips at the Winter Music Conference this year. The club mix featurea a bouncy synth line, driving rhythms, and those stunning female vocal while the dub on the flip gives the track a punchier, darker and more energetic kick with hooks from the chours blended perfectly. 10.49 Jasper Street Company "Got Me Going" God's House USA 12 - More inspirational vocal house perfection from Jasper Street Company with the standout track being the Joe T Vanelli remix of "He's Alright" that will make a believer out of the most jaded person as the male vocal inspired and energized the room. On the flip DJ Spen provides a solid mix of "Got Me Goin'" that gives the track a definite gospel feel. 6.79 Justin "Take Me Baby" White ITA 12 Promo - Joe T Vannelli on the mix for this Italian bigroom house release with bigroom synths keeping the energy level high and driving rhythms supporting a seductive spoken female vocal. 10.99 The Ks f/Robert Owens "Living A Life" Royal Flush FRA 12 - chunky tech house production with driving rhythm lines, slightly acidic synth orchestration and a hooky vocal from the great Robert Owens that compliments the austere synthwork with its smooth, seductive feel. Also includes a dub version for those not feeling the vocal. 10.49 Kentish Man "She's An Easy Lover" Evidenz FRA 12 Promo - a massive bigroom house reworking of the Phil Collins & Philip Bailey classic from the mid 80s. Elements of the original chours worked into an energetic blend of driving rhythm lines and hard-hitting tech-tinged house synth orchestrations. MASSIVE! 10.49 Krystal K "Let's Get It Right" Robbins USA 12 and C5 - another import picked up by Robbins for domestic release, the original version is a funky disco-tinged vocal with a highly infections female vocal perfect for the classy bigrooms. Also includes a funkier "Guitar Mix" as well as the massive trance reworking by Altitude. 6.79 for the 12", 7.79 for the C5. Laidback Luke f/Jay Underground "Popmusic" Egoiste GER 12 - Smooth summertime disco house production from the Egoiste label featuring a seductive male vocal supported by a shimmering blend of floating live guitar and house synth orchestrations and shuffly rhythm lines perfect for poolside play. Includes a solid remix by Aston Martinez on the flip that is a bit more melodic and epic in feel. 10.49 Alberto Lessmann "Small Baby" Max Identity SPA 12 - Chuggy fusion of dark tribal rhythms with spacious UK progressive synth swells that is becoming the trademark sound of the Spanish tribal school this season. The Acid mix is the more progressive flavoured of the two while the dub on the flip is more in a tribal vein. 10.49 Mr Timothy f/Inaya Day "I Am Tha One" Confidential ITA 12 - Birgroom alert as Ms Day lays down the law with this vocal performance supported by a chunky rhythm line and dark aggressive synthlines that will get the hands in the air. Completely massive release with a solid remix from E-Smoove on the flip that is funky and chunky 10.49 David Panda "Loving Back" Seasons USA 12 - Smooth, seductive production with a soulful male vocal, shuffly rhythm lines and a blend of house synth and live instrumentation perfect for the more intimate rooms. 6.79 Pet Shop Boys "Flamboyant" EMI ENG 12, C5 Part 1 and C5 Part 2 - Followup to the massive "Miracles" is another return to the electro-tinged origins of the PSB sound, with Scissor Sisters providing a solid tech-tinged house reworking that compliment's Neil's stunning vocals perfectly. Vinyl and CD2 also include the DJ Hell mix which is more purely electro in feel. Also on the vinyl is DJ Hell's 2004 reworking of the track that started it all, "West End Girls" with an update that is faithful to the original production (with most of the original vocal) but updates and freshens the production value while CD2 has exclusively the DJ Tomcraft remix of "Flamboyant." 10.49 for the 12", 10.79 for each of the CD-Maxis. Praise Cats "Sing" Subliminal Soul USA 12 - Already making a splash on the UK buzz charts this is inspirational vocal house at its best with a funky, chunky rhythm line, a smooth blend of synth and live piano, and a soul-lifting female vocal that is simply stunning. A track that will no doubt be on a Hed Kandi compilation if it isn't already. 6.79 Peter Presta & Little Carlos "Hallelujah" Bush ENG 12 - One of the big names in New York house gets a tough, techy tribal infused release on the veteran Bush label. Hard hitting rhythm lines and sharp, aggressive synthlines abound, with the tracks being best describes as New York tribal house with a techno kicker. 10.49 Robbie Rivera & Axwell "Burning" Waako USA 12 - New set of remixes on this massive Billboard Club Chart track with something for everyone as Mr Piraz provides a solid house mix while the trance rooms are served by DJ Scotty's remix and the fans of the breaks have a mix from Johnny Budz. 6.79 Room 5 "U Got Me" Noise Traxx ITA 12 - Limited promo copies of the next single from Room 5 is based on the synth line from the classic late-90s single "Freakin" by Studio 54, with a catchy female vocal worked into the mix. A summer anthem in the making. 10.49 Rozalla "Alright" Sounds Heavenly ENG 12 - The queen of techno back for 2004 with this track that covers the famous 1991 single by Janet Jackson. It is not a full cover, however but rather the vocal is composed of elements of the chorus resung by Rozalla and blended with a solid house production that gives the track a clear indication of what it is based on without being a direct copy. 10.49 Socafrica "Hot" Azuli ENG 12 - massive bigroom house release from Azuli with driving rhythm lines, funky house synth orchestrations and a hooky female vocal loop of the title worked into the production. Will definitely get the hands in the air. Full vocal and instrumental versions. 10.49 Tempo Rei "Agua (Fluid Of Life)" 1st Groove ITA 12 - Two seductive summertime commercial house tracks from Italy with flowing disco-tinged house synth lines and shuffly yet solid rhythm lines supporting a blend of Spanish and English language vocals. 10.49 Judy Torres f/Collage "Air That I Breathe" Robbins USA 12 and C5 - The spirit of mid-90s freestyle returns with this release from Robbins that also features a remix by Chris Panaghi for the more commercial dance floors that like a bit more punch in their productions. 6.79 for the 12", 7.79 for the C5. Various "Horizons" Om USA 2xLP - secections from Marques Wyatt's mix CD, this is a collection of smooth, seductive vocal house productions with some major names including Kathy Brown, Barbara Mendes, Sicania Soul and Antonio Ocasio. For fans of classy house this is the perfect collection of tracks, some of which are not available otherwise. 16.99 White Spaces f/Jim Kerr "Alive & Kicking" Absolutely ITA 12 Part 2 - Second set of mixes on this update of the Simple Minds classic with the vocals resung by the original artist. This disc features a pumpy tribal house interpretation by Javith and a funky disco-tinged reworking from Frank O' Moiraghi, both o f which feature the famous vocal lines well blended into the production. 10.49 Joyce Elaine Yuille "So 4 Real" Mix2Inside ITA 12 Part 2 - Second set of mixes on this solid Italian houser with productions that range from funky tech-tinged stomper by Mr Bonds to the seductive summertime house reworking by Matteo Lonescus that makes full use of Joyce's stunning vocals. 10.49 Trance & Progressive Blackwatch & Greed "Gentle Rain" Release Elements USA 12 - Seductive progressive house release with a haunting female vocal that floats over a shimmering blend of shuffly rhythm lines, spacious synth swells and dramatic breakdowns. The Jacked mix is the more restrained of the two productions while the Greyarea mix has a funky breakbeat worked into the mix. 6.79 Enigma "Boum Boum" Virgin GER 12 - Michael Cretu returns with another haunting production featuring a seductive vocal. Remix duties come from Wally Lopez who provides a spacious, haunting progressive interpretation and Chicane with a smooth, melodic trance interpretation both utilizing the vocal perfectly. 10.49 Fitalic "Thought" Sprout GER 12 - Classic progressive house production with a kick of energy in the rhythm line that works perfectly with the dark, broody synth swells and spacious breakdowns. Includes a solid remix by Atmotech on the flip. 10.49 Geoff Gains "Tribal Patrol" Twisted USA 12 - latest single from the Twisted camp features a progressive-tribal hybrid production with dark, brooding rhythm lines, haunting vocal hooks and spacious room-filling synth washes counterpoised with catchy synth hooks. Trademark Twisted production. 6.79 Oceanlab "Satellite" Euphonic GER 12 - Vocal trance cut of the week here as Above & Beyond again illustrate why they are one of the top remixes in the genre with this stunning production of intricate melodic construction, solid rhythm lines and dramatic breakdowns and buildups that peak with the angelic female vocal. For the fans of a more progressive house sound Markus Schulz and Alex Odden provide darker, more spacious interpretations that blend well with the vocal. 10.49 Mauro Picotto "Iguana 2004" BXR ITA 12 - New 2004 remixes of this classic bigroom hardtrance monster features a new reworking by Picotto himself that updates the classic perfectly with the famous synth hooks and vocal samples integrated perfectly. On the flip Yoji BIomehanika gives the track the full techno treatment for a production definitely not for the faint of heart. 10.49 Rapid Eye "Santa Cruz" Trance Communications ENG 12 - Bigroom melodic instrumental monster here with waves of anthemic synth intricately orchestrated with dramatic breakdowns and solid, energetic rhythm lines. Followup to the massive "Circa Forever" this tracks is already charting high on the major buzz charts and features a remix by MKS on the flip 10.49 Slyder "What Happens" DJ Sets BNX 12 - Solid vocal trance cut with a hypnotic female vocal integrated into a solid blend of darker melodic synthwork and smooth, floating rhythm lines. On the flip Starecase provides a dubbier mix for the more progressive house oriented floors. 10.49 Sensoria "Few Days Away" Kompressed GER 12 - Driving bigroom instrumental trance production from Germany with a dramtic breakdown that builds into a flurry of melodic riffs and rhythms. Flipside remix comes from John Askew in a similar energetic style. 10.49 TKAC & Haverlik "Synthia" Baroque ENG 12 - Dark, brooding progressive house cut with haunting synth washed, shuffly rhythm lines and hypnotic samples worked into the production, including subtle vocal stabs. Pumpy rhythm lines, sassy house instrumentation and those vocals blended perfectly. Includes both full vocal and dub versions. 10.49 Aya "Uptown" Naked Music USA 12 - seductive deep houser with an enchanting female vocal over a smooth blend of house piano, floating synthlines and live instrumenatation. Perfect for early night play or smaller lounges or classier, funkier floors. 6.79 Bini & Martini f/SuSu Bobien "Say Yes 2004" Azuli ENG 12 - New 2004 remixes of one of Azuli's biggest releases of the past year as the Beginnerz and Wally Lopez rework this track in their own trademark styles, with the Beginnerz mix having a subtle techiness to the production. Both mixes feature the hooky female vocal that made the track so huge the first time around. 10.49 Blake "Over You" Ocean Trax ITA 12 - Solid bigroom Italian house with a funky synth and live instrument orientation, hooky female vocals and energetic rhythm lines. Includes a more acidic, techier reworking by Softminds that gives the production a harder, nastier edge perfect for those darker floors. 10.49 DJ MFR f/D'Layna "Rhythm Of My Soul" Siesta USA 12 - Funky deeper house cut with an inspirational female vocal, smooth rhythm lines and a flowing house synth line accentuated with trumpet flourishes. Includes a solid remix by Luis Radio that ups the energy level a notch but preserves the inherent beauty of the track. 6.79 House of Glass "Freakin" Egoiste GER 12 - Super funky slice of underground house with a sassy female vocal worked into the production, with the Stonebridge mix in his trademark disco-tinged style while Bini & Martini go for an edgier, techier sound. 10.49 Janet Jackson "Just A Little While" Virgin GER 12 and AUS C5 - First official single from the new Damita Jo album features two solid club mixes aimed at different floors, Peter Rauhofer for the bigroom massive and Maurice Joshua for the more intimate, funkier clubs. Just topped the Billboard Club Play chart this week. 7.99 Milk & Sugar "Get Down Stay Down" Milk & Sugar GER 12 - not to be completely pigeonholed as the masters of discohouse, Milk & Sugar go into a new direction on this cut which features a sassy, say it straight female vocal over a funky, chunky house synth and driving rhythm lines in the club mix, while the album version is more textbook classic Milk & Sugar in sound. Solid new single. 10.49 Danny Buddha Morales "Walking On" Stealth ENG 12 - Roger Sanchez' label moving away from the darkness for this new single which focuses more on the funkier side of house with a hooky female vocal over a smooth blend of disco-tinged house synth and live instrumentation and shuffly rhythms. For those who prefer the darkness the Tribapella mix is chunkier in feel and with a harder, more direct rhythm line. 10.49 Paraiba "Ritmo De La Noche" Fragile ITA 12 - Catchy tribal-tinged Italian house production with a seductive Spanish language female vocal about touching different parts of the body over a smooth yet driving house production perfect for the upcoming summer season. 10.49 Random House Project f/Robert Owens "Longing" Underwater ENG 12 - Funky new house single from the Underwater camp featuring the remarkably soulful vocal talent of Robert Owens. One mix is a solid disco-influenced underground house production perfect for the more mainstream rooms while the flipside mix is techier with more acidic synth lines. 10.49 Santos p/Alma Matris "Shakadelic Drums 1" Royal Drums FRA 12 - Two cuts of hi-octane peak hour tribal drum madness with congas and snares ablaze over an energetic, room filling darker tribal house synth orchestration. Two cuts, both perfect for the fans of the drum. 10.49 6th Element "Turntable" Stop & Go ITA 12 - using samples that cover Ruffneck 's mid-90s classic "Everybody Be Somebody" this is a catchy, bouncy Italian house production that sets the mood perfectly for the upcoming summer house season. 10.49 Skylark "That's More Like It" ENG 12 Part 1 - Second sec (actually part one but shipping delays held it up) of this funky underground house production. This disc featers the more smoothed-out productions with a lighter, more summertime feel to the house synthwork that provides a nice contrast to the dark, growling male vocal hook. 10.49 Silver Sonic "Electric Disco Tease" Azuli ENG 12 - Limited promo from the Azuli camp of an upcoming single that signals a move into hooligan house for the label as this cut features funky, acidic synth lines, driving rhythm lines and a hard-hitting punkish male vocal line that would be just as at home in a Planet Funk production. 10.49 Sucker DJs "Circles" Kinky Vinyl AUS 12 - new single from the Sucker DJs (and not a bootleg) is a chunky tech house monster with aggressive, dark synth hooks, driving rhythm lines and a sparse male vocal worked into the production. For those floors that like their house funky and aggressive at the same time. 10.49 Duron Tarik f/Intense "I Am 2004" Eighty Three West USA 12 - Louis Benedetti on the mix for this soulful garage cut featuring inspirational male vocals over an intoxicating blend of smooth house synths, live instrumentation and shuffly rhythm lines. 6.79 UDG "Ultimate Dream 2004" Garbage FRA 12 - New mixes of this classic tribal production that features the spacy female vocal hook over driving drum lines. These new mixes give the track a spacier, almost progressive feel while keeping the dark, hypnotic drums well centered in the overall production.
