Hallo Newsgroup,
we have a douple CD Player OMNITRONIC CDP 381.
But the two cables between console and Body (Player) are missing.

For one cable we should pay 19 Euros, but we need two of them.
:-(

To get to a cheaper solution:
It seems to bee a simple 1:1 Mini DIN 8 pole cable like this one:

I wrote to them but they don know if it can be used fpr OMNITRONIC CDP 381.


So I have two questions:

a)
Does anyone know if there is a DAP Player equal to the
OMNITRONIC CDP 381 ?
If yes its very likely that the cheap cable will fit.

b)
Does anyone have an OMNITRONIC CDP 381 with the cables ?
If yes can you please check if its wired 1:1 (pin for pin with multimeter).

Hallo Newsgroup,
I make "the Ingrid" since
I tried myself and build 1:1 cable.

Very importend: the screen of the Mini DIN connectors must be
connected too. So you need at least 9 Wires or 8 and screen.
I took sheelded Ethernet patch cable and soldered Mini DIN
connectors on each end. I had to make 3 of the connectors twice.
It is very small buisness. I soldered row by row of the Pins.

Cables forseen for Mac Printer seem to work too. But I didnt
try myself.

The cable mentioned above for DAP CD Player seems to work, too.
Bee carful, you must order parts at least for 15 Euros. Plus Porto.
So building it myself was cheaper and quicker.
