Setting Tone Arm Height on Numark TT-1700
heylo there...
i've inherited a Numark TT-1700 turntable and i just bought a Stanton 500 AL II cartridge for it. i can't figure out how to adjust the tone arm height. the needle doesn't reach the platter! help! many thanx, sir demon brown blipppy@yahoo.com |

Put the cartridge on and loosen or tighten the counter weight until
the cartridge balances on the tone arm. Then without turning the counter weight there should be a gauge that'll rotate without turning the counter weight. Turn this to 0, this is zeroing out the weight. Now hold the gague and turn the weight with the gauge to 3 to 3.5, and that should be set fine... eperiment with the weight...
