Snob?

Someone just called me a pretentious Sasha snob, lol. Just because I enjoy his mixes and said their mix of acid was too *light* for my tastes. Crazy people.

Has anyone ever thought you didn't like something just because you liked other types of music?

I have been called a snob on quite a few occasions, warrented or not. While I may be an elitist to some extent, I don't try to knock anything without listening first. Most people are snobby about something I think. Just a part of human's being human or whatever!

LOL...musical elitist? I guess I can be at times...

I always did have rather umm... "unusual" tastes, and a disdain for modern pop and rock that is played on the radio. So, I do look down on a good bit of music...but more-so the bands than those whom listen to it.

If you call someone a snob or ignorant, you are just as much to blame because you don't accept their tastes either.

I have been called alot of things for my tastes in music, but never that. Wouldnt that go more for someone that liked pop or something, rather than techno?

I share Thaworth's view . If you call someone a snob ,then you are being one yourself by not accepting their musical taste. I don't care much about how I am perceived based on my choice of music and by the same token, I respect everyone's taste.

I have no idea how many times I have heard "Your music sucks", and I just reply back "We all have our own tastes, to me, yours tastes bland". I dont play well with snobs, of any sort.

I don't play well with most people, PERIOD!

But yeah, I try not to judge others off only their taste. I try to give everyone a chance, if only they would treat me the same more often

Either way, we all have our own tastes. Nothing will change anothers opinion, unless they want to change it themselves.
