Hmmm... This is an interesting proposition. The thing is that if a computer
was able to effectively detect scratches and skips on a CD, then someone should be able to build CD players that would never be affected by them! As a matter of fact, CD players do have error detection but it only works to a certain extent. At some point, it is impossible for the system to determine what the stream is supposed to sound like and it either skips or stops playing altogether. Good luck with your quest and keep us posted!
