Re: Some Advice needed

what model vestax did you get? what kind of tunes are you into? if
you're into hip hop and scratching set your decks up sideways - battle
style, instead of regular, the arm will be at the top of the mixer as
far away from you as possible and you will have more room to
manipulate the record with... get yourself some butter rug slit mats
and double copies of run dmc's peter piper and practice going back to
back with the beats, learning to beatmix them, cutting the vocals over
one another... shures are some of the most rock solid headshells and
carts and stay in the groove real well... search the net for
turntablist sites and you'll find explantions of scratches and how to
do them...

Re: Some Advice needed

The Vestex model is Street Master 5005, its a simple one but I'll
upgrade as soon as I get some money in the bank. I'm mostly into
HipHop but this dj pool i joined is not givin me as much hiphop
records as i want...what do u mean by the battle style? i've found a
couple of good sites for learning how to scratch and beat match
