I have had my home setup for about 1 year now with a pair of Gemini PT2400
with a 540i Mixer going into a berhinger compressor and then unfortunately i
have to go into my computer and output if through my sound card.

I am now looking to get an Amp and speakers setup to improve sound quality
to help with djing I was wondering if you had any ideas of good
amps/speakers.

I am willing to spend up to about £150 on both amp + speakers and i am
looking more for clarity than anything with good low and high sounds at all
listening levels. I figure i will not need much more than 100w RMS.

Currently i have looked at
Cambridge Audio A300 Amp
Cerwin Vega v5m Speakers
wharfendale speakers (not sure which)

Any ideas

If you are willing to spend perhaps a little bit more (the cheapest system
comes in at £229), it's worth having a look at terralec
(www.terralec.co.uk). The web shop is pretty basic, but there is an enormous
range of good quality products. I bought my first set of belt drive decks
from them in a package about ten years ago and they were still working fine
six years later when I sold them on. I've recently bought a pair of their
own brand TS12 cabinets and a matched amp (system PR45 - £314). The system
runs at 165W per side at 8 ohms. It's fine to play in a bedroom set-up
without destroying your ear drums but it's also good for the odd party (I
used my set-up at a friend's party recently and it did the job). I'm about
to buy two more of the same cabinets, another amp and a couple of bass bins
to beef it up to over 1kW for bigger parties.
