Stylus & cart for scratching
Hey,
This is my first time posting here. I'm, er, new to DJing. I've got a pair of Gemini XL-1800Q II's coming in the mail. They're both got Stanton DiscMasters on them. My question was whether or not these carts will do pretty well for scratching; or, if I should be looking to replace one of them with a Shure M447. Also, I can't find a manual online anywhere for the 1800. Does anyone know what kind of settings I ought to start out with for tonearm height, weight, anti-skate, etc., seeing as how I won't have a manual with the appropriate specifications? I don't want to screw up my needles or records and have that be my lesson in tonearm weight. Thanks, Matt Coffay |
