"Technical" question about Vinyl Records

To all my fellow vinyl enthusiasts, a question just entered my head today as
I began typing up a description for a record I'm about to list on ebay.

Is there a "technical" term given to that 1 inch or so of dead space at the
end of a record right before the label in the center? Ever read those
messages that are sometimes engraved there?

What about the space in between songs? What do you call that?

Thanks in advance.

"It's called the lead-out groove."

Or if you've ever cut them, 'the matrix' because the matrix number is found
there sometimes printed, sometimes hand written

Re: "Technical" question about Vinyl Records

I read your ad and I would change 1 thing....meeting someone at your place.
I liste an MKII 1200 and sold it, the guy came by to pick it up and saw all
of my Records
I was about to list. He had $800 in his pocket and Dropped $450 on me and
Picked up
2 cases and 210 records to boot.
If you are weary then have a friens come ver too.
Or just strap a gun on
