Technics SL 1200 Mk2 increase frequency of ref. signal for pitch pot

Hi all,

I suppose the chip which controls the pitch of the Technics SL 1200 Mk2
receives two input signals: one is the fixed signal for zero pitch and
the other signal will be used as a reference signal for the variable
pitch.

Is perhaps the pitch pot non-linear in order to achieve a linear
frequency change?

I have modified my turntable in order to have two pitch ranges [-4 to
+12] and [+12 to +24]. That modification is very very simple and bad
done by me. The question about the non-linearity of the pitch pot is
because when my turntable is working on the "accelerated mode", the
frequency change is then non-linear. That frequency change is small
when the pitch slider is on the negative range, and very big when
approximating the "+8" position of the pitch scale represented on the
turntable.

I would like to know whether it would be possible to achieve a linear
frequency change on both modes.

Could you please help?

Thank you

Sorry, I am the creator of the message again.

I forgott to include the question whether it would be possible to
increase the frequency of the reference signal for the variable pitch
in order to achieve that linear change.
