Trance artists at the old MP3.com

So way back in the day, mp3.com used to be a site with a huge amount of featured bands with free downloadable music. Almost all styles of music were there, including quite a few Trance artists. Now what bothers me is some of these artists are impossible to find ANYWHERE now, and in other cases I have forgotten their name. I really wish I could find some of this music again, since a lot of it was great. Do you know of any way that I may still be able to find this music?

I know it's a long shot, but I felt like asking anyway. So damn frustrating

Have you tried checking the cached webpages for the site? They might have something there to help point you in the right direction. Otherwise I'm not so sure how to find older stuff without spending your life online researching.

I tried archive.org, but a lot of the individual artists pages don't seem to be archived

One artist I liked a lot was called Carbon, and I have no clue what happened to them. Any Google searches turned up fruitless. There was some other group called Carbon 12 or something but they are unrelated. All I remember about MY Carbon is that they had a number of songs inspired from RPG games, and they also had a number of Trance and Industrial tunes. Also, I am pretty sure they are from Germany.
