turntable dilemma

me and two of my friends have saved up some money and are looking to
buy some entry-level turntables. we checked out a local store and saw
that theyre selling some cheap dj packages. they have a stanton
platinum pak 2. comes w/2 str8-80 tts and sk-6f mixer. then theres
this numark battle pack 2k2, comes w/2 tt1625 and a dm950 mixer. i
dont know whether to buy the package or buy each part seperately. ive
heard that the packages are too good to be true. also, ive heard that
the stantons are better than the numarks but that the stantons have
some flaws with them. can anyone verify these rumors for me. thanks

Re: turntable dilemma

honestly, i'd go with the Stanton package... Stanton's turntables are alot
better than numark, that goes for mixers as well.
