Two Technics 1200s, Two different volumes how can I correct this?

I purchased 2 used technics a while back and one is quieter than the
other. I have tried switching carts, head shells, and inputs on the
mixer (and yes i am using the phono inputs) with no change. On my
mixer one maybe set @ 5 while the other is like 7 or 8. Can this be
fixed by rewiring the RCA cables? Has anyone else experience this?

Was it like this before you had the Technics? The reason I ask is, I have
one mixer where the 2 input channels are different, must be the internal
circuits. It doesn't bother me, like you I just have 1 channels preset up
higher than the other. Apart from that Make sure you have the same
cartridges in both decks and check the connectors are okay and not partially
shorting etc. Swop the decks around on the mixer. That will tell you whether
it is the decks or mixer.

Same carts and have switched channels; same result.
