vocals and elements of the original synth blended into the production. Two
mixes, one more vocal-focused the other dubbier in feel. Circulates as
Tolleshunt D'Arcy, catalog number WIRE003.

Duran Duran "The Reflex 2004" White ENG 12 - circulates as Funkagenda, this
uses hooks from the original vocal and blends it into an energetic
tech-tinged production. Flipside is an instrumental original production.

Marvin Gaye "Music 2004" White ENG 12 - 2004 house remixes by Kerri Chandler
and Karizma of this classic Barry White track in a smooth seductive deeper
house style.

Jackson 5 "Shake Your Body" White USA 12 - Circulating as Quacko!, this is
Quivver on the mix for this dark, driving, slightly progressive reworking of
the classic Jackson 5 track that takes hooks from the original chorus as
well as hooks from the original instrumentation and blends it with Quivver's
instrumental orchestration.

Ricky Martin "Maria 2004" White GER 12 - circulating as KIR001, a hard
tribal reworking based around Ricky's chants from his hit "Maria" as well as
some vocal samples from the chorus.

Mike & The Mechanics "All I Need Is A Miracle 2004" White ENG 12 - Red Kult
back again with the \follow-up to the massive rework of Steve Winwood
"Valerie" that has just gone commercial as Eric Prydz "Call On Me". This
time it is the Mike & Mechanics classic getting sampled and integrated into
a driving bigroom house production. If the Red Kult "Call Me" bootleg worked
for you back in the spring, this will work just as well.

Powerhouse vs Prospect Park "Movin On Is What You Need" White ENG 12 -
latest in the Avenue series sees the classic vocal from Prospect Park on top
of the instrumentation of Powerhouse "What You Need." Flipside is a
reworking of the classic "Theme From S-Express."

Rank 1 "Airwave 2004" White ENG 12 - circulating as K-Series #7, a solid
bigroom anthemic trance reworking of this classic production with a slightly
tougher rhythm line and some added synth orchestrations to supplement the
orchestral beauty of the base production.

House

Afro Angel "Magic" Susu ENG 12 - Susu back with another smooth, seductive
house production with a stunning vocal from Isabel Frucuoso that glides over
the flowing blend of house synth and live guitar while shuffly rhythms
provide a solid foundation for the production. Remix from Alliance DC gives
the track a sparser, funkier orchestration that captures the soulful beauty
of the vocal perfectly.

Alcazar "This Is The World We Live In" RCA GER 12 - New UK edition of the
latest Alcazar single based around a sample from the Genesis 1987 hit "Land
Of Confusion". New to this edition is a solid remix by Almighty in a bouncy
bigroom NRG style with the catchy vocals the star of the show.

Cerrone "Je Suis Musique 2004" Mallgator FRA 12 - Armand van Helden on the
mix for the 2004 edition of this classic Cerrone track. Armand funks up the
instrumentation while preserving the disco-era flavour of the original and
supporting the solid female vocals perfectly.

Roy Davis Jr f/Terry Dexter "Wonderin" Large USA 12 - Terry Dexter's soulful
vocal shines through on this solid new single from Roy Davis Jr that is
perfect for the more intimate floors and smoky lounges with the flowing live
instrumentation and shuffly rhythm lines. Includes a couple of funky dub
reworkings on the flip.

DJ Monster "Get Down To The Music" House Of Porn ITA 12 - Imspriational male
vocals are the focus of this energetic Italian house production with driving
rhythm lines and hooky string samples. On the flip a darker, techier remix
is offered in the French tech house style.

David Guetta "Stay" Virgin GER 12 Part 1 - latest release from the popular
French DJ features another excellent vocal from Chris Wills (who did the
vocal on last summer's anthem "Just A Little More Love") with disc 1
featuring remixes by Le Knight in a summery disco-flavoured mode and a
chunkier, techier dub version by Fuzzy Hair. Disc 2 featurs an excellent
remix by David Garraud and David Guetta that adds depth and thickness to the
instrumentation while preserving the vocal intact. On the flip Kiko provides
a hooky dub.

Alison Limerick "Working On It" Angel Reef ENG 12 Part 1 and Part 2 - One of
the legendary voices of house returns with this uplifiting energetic bigroom
house production with disc one featuring the bouncy original mix as well as
a solid reworking from Problem Kit that suits the vocal perfectly. Disc two

Problem Kid dub.

Moratto & Lineki "Ring Ring" Ocean Trax ITA 12 - An old Talking Heads sample
is the vocal hook for this punchy, tech-tinged house production from the
Ocean Trax team. Energetic rhythm lines blend with the hand-raising vocal
loop for a chunky, driving track perfect for the fans of the French tech
house sound.

Punkrok "Sweet Child" Toolroom GER 12 - The guitar riffs from Guns & Roses
"Sweet Child Of Mine" form the basis of this energetic techhouse production
with driving rhythm lines, slightly acidic synth hooks and jabs, and those
guitar lines in full effece. Covered vocal hooks from the chorus of the song
are also inserted strategically into the production. Fun production perfect
for floors that love the house homage to the big 80s.

Rise Ashen "Second Wind EP" Defected ENG 12 - Latest release from the "In
The House" subdivision of Defected, this track was a highlight from the DJ
Gregory mix compilation and is a smooth, seductive deeper house production
with haunting synth swells, a hooky saxophone sample, slight tribal-based
rhythm line and a seductive female vocal.

Souvenir D'Italie "People Come On" House Of Porn ITA 12 - Massive
disco-tinged production with an insanely catchy female vocal, bouncy rhythm
lines and a synth orchestration that sounds like a blend between disco house
and mid-80s dance productions. Solid bigroom track for fans of strong,
inspirational female vocals.

Spirit Of The Boogie "Reach" Distraekt ENG 12 - Chunky deeper tech house
production with a mysterious female vocal sample worked into the production
to create a dark, seductive sound for the floors. On the flip Piliavin &
Zimbardo rework the production in their trademark deep, chunky and
aggressive style.

Superchumbo f/Celeda "Dirty Filthy" Twisted ENG 12 Promo - already racing up
the Billboard Club chart, these are limited UK promos with full commercial
release still weeks away. The name of the track says it all - dark, driving
tribal tinged bigroom house as Superchumbo is known for with Celeda giving
it all in the vocal department. It will be an anthem for autumn 2004. On the
flip is Stephan Grondin's remix of "This Beat Is."

Tristan da Cunha "Live Wire" Azuli ENG 12 - hooks from Talking Heads classic
"Psycho Killer" form the focus of this darker, chunkier tech-tinged offering
from Azuli this week. Deeper house synth lines and energetic rhythms break
down into a full sample from the Talking Heads track then build back up with
hooks of the vocal to full force.

Una Mas f/Kathy Brown "Something For Nothing" Essence ENG 12 - The sweet
vocals of Kathy Brown are the true star of this classic house production
from Una Mas with a slightly deeper orchestration that make it a perfect
early or late set showstopper. Very much in the style of Defected or Hed
Kandi, this tracks is simply stellar.

Sandy Wilhelm f/Duane Harden "Love For The Music" Executive FRA 12 Part 2 -
New set of remixes on this chunky tech house monster featuring the
inspirational talents of Duane Harden on vocals. Mixes come from Robbie
Rivera (in his trademark acidic synth style), Richard Grey (energetic
disco-tinged French tech house orientation) and DJ Sender.

Raoul Zerna "Love The Things You Do" Defunk USA 12 - In its original form a
hooky bigroom tech house production with a catchy, slightly rock-tinged male
vocal worked into the production. On the flip Bryan Cox lets loose with his
hard-hitting techhouse interpretation with dramatic breakdowns and buildups
that integrate the vocal perfectly.

Trance & Progressive

Anthony Cartier "Feels Like" Axwax GER 12 - Limite edition remix by G&M
Project of a forthcoming single on Axwax. Classic Dutch-styled instrumental
trance production with intricate waves of melodic synth blended into a rich
soundscape of dramatic breakdowns and crescendos.

Dido "Sand In My Shoes" Cheeky ENG 12 Promo Part 3 - very limited edition
third set of mixes by Gabriel & Dresden of the latest single from Dido, with
the trademark deeper trance-progressive fusion style blended perfectly with
the warm vocals. Two mixes, one a bit more focused on the rich melodies
while the other is a bit sparser in sound.

Earth Inc "Realize" Waterworld GER 12 - Solid anthemic trance production
with melodic orchestrations set ablaze, supported by driving rhythm lines
and a breakdown to a spoken male vocal hook on how to make the world a
better place.

Esmaye "Change Is Coming" Black Hole BNX 12 - This track was the winner of a
competition organized by Tiesto to discover new trance producing talent.
Here Mark Norman provides two mixes, one that includes a vocal hook in the
mix, the other purely instrumental. For fans of the classic Dutch
instrumental sound, this track is simply a stunner.

Robert Gitelman "Children Of The Sun" ID&T BNX 12 - For fans of the darker,
techier new Dutch style, here is this weeks fix as Gitelman offers two
driving productions that balance the beauty of melodic orchestration with
darker, techier elements and the more aggressive rhythm lines that have been
characteristic of the Dutch sound in the past few months.

Alex Gold "Stranded In Paradise" Xtravaganza ENG 12 - Promo edition of an
upcoming Xtravaganza single, this features a solid male vocal worked into an
emotion-lifting melodic orchestration in the English style. On the flip,
Agnelli & Nelson illustrate their incredible talent for uplifting vocal
productions with a briiliant remix.

Danny Howells & Stef Vrolijk "Phono Corono" Yoshitoshi USA 2x12 - For fans
of the lighter, more ethereal side of progressive house Yoshitoshi offers
this solid relases full of hypnotic swells, spacious breakdowns and smooth,
seductive rhythm lines. 16 Bit Lolitas offer two interpretations that add a
haunting vocal element to the production and thicken the synth and rhythm
componenets, with one mix shifting the track into the realm of breakbeat.

Mind One "Only Memories" Torpedo GER 12 - Followup to the massive 2002 hit
"Star For Me" is a gorgeous female vocal trance production with massive
waves of anthemic synth, driving rhythm lines and cascading breakdowns that
are accentuated by the vocal hook. Includes a pure instrumental version on
the flip.

Anne Savage, Vinylgroover & Red Hed "Intoxicating Rhythm" Tidy ENG 12 - No
holds barred hard dance from the Tidy stable hear as Anne Savage pairs with
Vinylgroover and Red Hed to blow the roof off. The original could power a
small city with its driving rhythm lines, energetic synth lines and hooky
special effects, while on the flip a darker, more acidic interpretation is
paired with excellent snaredrum effects. Both mixes work male spoken vocal
hooks of the title into the production.
