Here are the mainstream house and trance picks of the week from Vinyl
Euphoria (formerly Resurrection Records), Columbus OH USA, for the week of
21-27 June 2004 All titles are available for order via our secure webserver
from our website at www.rezrec.com, where we list over 200 new release
titles available for order each week and have sound samples for many titles.

Vegas here with the bootleg mashup of "Rebel Rebel" with "We Like Dancing"

Earth Wind & Fire "All In The Way" White ENG 12 - Phil Asher and Blacq &
Whiter remixes of this classic disco house production in a deep, funky house
style. Also includes the original 12" version. 11.49



Fatboy Slim "Right Here Right Now 2004" White ENG 12 - circulating as 9AVE,
this is a chunky, slightly techy bigroom house reworking of the Fatboy Slim
classic with the vocal and string hooks full and present. On the flip is a
mashup that combines the instrumentation of Kurtis Mantronix "How Did You
Know" with the vocal from Powerhouse "What You Need". 11.49



Marvin Gaye "Mercy Mercy Me 2004" White ENG 12 - circulates as Soul Trackin,
a smooth deeper discohouse reworking of this classic with the full original
vocal. 10.99



Prince "Head 2004" White USA 12 - circulates as Public Access, a funky
rework of this old Prince track with much of the original vocal integrated
into the production. On the flip is a similar-styled mix of Wyclef Jean
"Party To Demascus". 6.99



Britney Spears "Toxic 2004" White ENG 12 - tribal bootleg circulates as
Tribal Spears, a massive reworking with the full chorus worked into a
blistering, pumpy drum-heavy production. 11.49



Candi Staton "Do Your Duty 2004" White ENG 12 - funky deep house production
by Pepe Braddock of this classic Candi Staton track. Very, very limited
pressing. - 14.99

Stacy Burket "Love Me Right" 69 USA 12 - Originally scheduled for release
earlier this year, Peter Rauhofer's imprint finally releases this bigroom
vocal tribal production in time for the Pride season. Massive female vocal
supporte by Burket's dark, drum-laden orchestration. Stephan Grondin
provides an alternative drum interpretation of the track on the flip that
dubs the vocal a bit more. 6.79



Calderone & Quayle "Resonate" Statrax USA 12 - Part two of this release
featuring the dark, driving original mix much deeper than their remix work
with hooky female vocal samples worked into the production. On the flip, DJ
Vibe goes for a slightly techier, progressive interpretation. 6.79



Chus & Penn "Will I (Discover Love)" Azuli ENG 12 - Smooth summertime house
production that conjures up visions of the White Island with its seductive
synth lines, smooth female vocal and flowing rhythm lines. Includes a dub
mix on the flip. 10.49



Gianni Coletti f/Lyn Collins "Think About It" MODA ITA 12 Promo - Funky
Italian vocal production with a massive female vocal over a retro-inspired
house orchestration straight from the early Prince sound. On the flip,
Stefano Mats provides a smoother, more contemporary feel to his production
with a slight tribal touch. 10.99



DJ Rage "Welcome To Ultra Tech" Reserved ENG 12 - EP of 4 driving bigroom
tech house cuts in the Benassi electrotech style including the track
"Hardsoul" that uses the famous vocal sample from "The Ultimate Seduction."
All four tracks pump with driving rhythm lines and chunky techy synth lines.

Donatella Movement f/MJ White "Get Ready" Susu ENG 12 Part 1 and Part 2 -
Susu back with another stellar vocal house masterpiece as a soulful female
vocal is paired with seductive house orchestrations by Problem Kids and
Liquid People on disc on. Disc two features an unexpected remix by Paul
Jackson who dubs out the vocal and integrates it into a spacious
tech-progressive reworking, while on the flip is a dub of the Problem Kids
mix. 10.49 each part.



Electroluv "Don't Stop Movin Right" Rise ITA 12 - Hands in the air
summertime house with a massive female vocal and a remix by Harlem Hustlers
that can be best describe as bigroom discofied madness, full of energy but
still retaining a warm, summery feel. On the flip Woody Bianchi provides a
more purist disco-house production that works well with the vocals. 10.49



Andy F "Who's To Kill" Deepefect ITA 12 - Music from the cult film "Kill
Bill" as well as a sample from Lucy Liu are the hooks in this chunky, funky
tech house production. Brass blairs from the theme music blend with the
driving rhythm lines into a breakdown into Lucy Liu's monologue and then
back to the drive. Includes an instrumental version without the vocal
sample. 10.49



Flatline "Lost" Regress USA 12 - Driving instrumental
tech-progressive-tribal hybrid production with aggressive conga lines,
embracing synth swells and hooky stabs that take the best element of each
genre and blends them perfectly. 6.79



Freestylers "Push Up" Against The Grain ENG 12 Part 1 and Part 2 - Massive
buzz record from this longtime breakbeat act. The original mix is actually a
very funky Prince-influenced production with a catchy vocal, chunky synth
lines and pumpy, slightly breakbeat rhythm line. For the bigrooms, disc 2
features a massive tech house production by DJ Bomba that integrates the
vocal into a hard-hitting synth orchestration and driving 4/4 rhythm line.
Also includes a funky breaks mix by Plump DJs on the flip. 10.49 each part.



Gipsy "Gipsy" Hi-Bias CAN 12 - Classy disco-house production originally out
in the spring in Europe now getting a North American release. Features the
stunning original mix plus a new tech house reworking from Robbie Rivera who
dubs up the vocal into his harder, more aggressive production. 6.79



Hatiras "Money Shot" Finetune FRA 12 - The chunky French vocal tech house
production of the week here with vocals that sound like they were inspired
by an old porno over a driving rhythm line and agreesive techhouse synth
orchestration. On the flip Antoine Clamaran works his magic again with a
massive bigroom mix that works perfectly with the dubbed-out suggestive
vocals. 10.49



Jay J f/Latrice Bennett "Start It Up" Bubble Soul SPA 12 Promo - Seductive
deeper vocal houser with a warm, souful female vocal over a smooth blend of
flowing house synth and live instrumentation grounded by a steady rhythm
line. Includes a dub version on the flip and perfect for the more intimate
rooms or early nite play. 10.99



JCA f/Dannii Minogue "Come & Get It" WEA GER 12 - new single from this
German production team who have worked with the younger Minogue previously,
this new single is light and summery in orchestration, allowing Dannii's
hooky vocal to be the star of the show. Remixes from Tom Novy and Sharam
Jey give the track a techier, chunkier feel for the floors that light a
darker, punchier sound. 10.49



Junior Jack "Stupid Disco" Noise BNX 12 Part 1 and Part 2 - In the "War of
the Pointer Sisters" Junior Jack challenges Dave Armstrong's interpretation
of the old classic "Dare Me" with his own bigroom interpretation that also
samples heavily from the famous chorus. Disc 1 features the original version
and a more disco-house oriented version from Hott 22 while disc 2 features a
smoother, techier reworking by Lee-Cabrera, a funky disco-house
interpretation from John Julius Knight and the funky new track "Trust It".

King Britt p/Sylk 130 "I Can't Wait" Brickhouse GER 12 - The old NuShooz
track from the mid-1980s is covered here with a chunky, darker
tech-influenced remix by Milk & Sugar that works well with the vocals. The
original mix is more of a funky garage style. 10.49



Loose Change "Straight From The Heart 2004" D:Vision ITA 12 Promo Part 1 and
Part 2- Retromania in Italy continues with this old disco-era classic
getting an update for the new millennium with Disc 1 featuring massive
bigroom house mixes from Harlem Hustlers that support the diva vocal
perfectly. Disc 2 features funkier, chunkier underground mixes from
Gambafreaks.10.99 each part.



Morillo f/Audio Bullys "Break Down The Doors" Subliminal ENG 12 Part 1 and
Part 2 - A major buzz record in the UK, this release marks a very
interesting departure for Morillo as he explores the chunky world of electro
house in this new production. Featuring dark, punkish vocals from the Audio
Bullys, disc 1 features Eric's vocal and dub mixes as well as a chunky mix
by Fuzzy Hair, all of which preserve the electro flavor to the fullest. Disc
2 sees Harry Romero rework the track into a more mainstream tech house vein,
and features both vocal and dub version. The release is definitely a
departure from the classic Subliminal sound as it moves ever more towards a
tech house orientation. 10.49 each part.



Piliavin & Zimbardo "Tie Me Down" Beatfreak SPA 12 - Dark, sinister bigroom
tribal from Spain by two of the masters

of the techy side of tribal production. Spacious synth swells, growling
rhythm lines and hooky spoken male vocal samples blended for the perfect
production. Remix by Beatmasters on the flip is more purely tribal in feel.

Lynette Smith "Everything Must Change" Slaag USA 12 - Seductive new deeper
house production by DJ Pope from the Slaag label featuring an inspirational
female vocal over flowing house synth and live instrumentation and shuffly
rhythm lines. 6.79



Sub Rosa "Some Changes" Essence ENG 12 Part 2 - second set of mixes on this
warm, seductive vocal house production featuring a stunning female vocal
over a chunky, energetic disco-flavored house synth orchestration. Includes
both full vocal and a dubbier club mix. 10.49



Evelyn Thomas "High Energy 2004" Dancestreet ITA 12 - Again the old classics
getting the update with this hands-in-the-air staple of the late 70s
reworked into a driving bigroom production with one mix more on the house
side and the other with trancier influences, both featuring those
unmistakable vocals. Perfect material for the Pride season. 10.49



T&F vs Moltosugo f/Ce Ce Rogers "Stay" Airplane ITA 12 Promo - The classic
instrumental "Serenissima" is one of the hooks on this new deeper house
production from the veteran Italian production tema. Smooth and seductive,
the instrumentation pairs well with the soulful male vocal. Remix from Luca
Cassani gives the track a bit of a boost in terms of energy with a techy
hook added to the production. 10.99



Various "Zedd Classics 3" Zedd ENG 12 - new 2004 updates by Joey Negro of
some of his Zedd label's classic releases from the past, giving them a
deeper, funkier feel. This edition features reworkings of Joey Negro "Can't
Get High Without You" and Sessomatto "I'm Back" and both would be perfect
for the intimate rooms. 10.49



Sandy W f/Duane Harden "Love For The Music" Executive FRA 12 - Punchy house
production from this French label featuring driving rhythm lines, hooky
saxophone and piano lines, and the stellar soulful vocals of the veteran
Duane Harden, who provides a hands-in-the-air performance. Includes a dub
mix on the flip. 10.49



<B>Trance & Progressive</B>



Aquagen "Girl (Uuh Uuh Yeah Yeah)" Kontor GER 12 - the masters of
integrating rock tracks into harder German commercial trance return with
their latest track sampling the mid-90s rock classic by Cornershop "Brimful
of Asha". Driving rhythm lines and aggressive melodies build to a breakdown
that brings in the famous guitar lick and elements of the original vocal
before building back to the driving trance production. Bouncy fun for the
lager crowd. 10.49



Auriane "Sound Wave" Trance Revolution ENG 12 - stunning bigrooom
instrumental trancer from the UK here with waves of intricate melodies,
solid rhythm lines and dramatic breakdowns that build to the heavens. Remix
by Genix on the flip. 10.49



Bertoldo "Amor" Regress USA 12 - For fans of the dark, driving bigroom
progressive sound here are two massive cuts full of pump and energy yet
retaining the spacious ambience that is the hallmark of the progressive
sound. Muted male vocal hooks blend into the haunting synth swells and hooky
sound samples all driven by an energetic rhythm line. 6.79



Cadence "Don't Say It's Over" Famous Inc ENG 12 - Seductive female vocal
trancer with a plaintive vocal over a light, seductive melodic synth
orchestration and steady rhythm lines, building to a dramatic breakdown and
climactic finish. On the flip Mike Koglin provides a darker, more energetic
dub reworking. 10.49



DJ Energy "Serenity" Nukleuz ENG 12 - Stunning vocal trancer originally out
in Germany in 2003 now picked up by Nukleuz for UK distribution. This
release stays very much in the melodic trance category with a haunting
female vocal supported by waves of melodic orchestrations and smooth rhythm
lines. Remix by Mike Robbins on the flip gives the track a UK energy
makeover that dubs out the vocal and sharpens the melodic synth
orchestrations, 10.49



Randy Katana "In Silence" Reset BNX 12 - Driving Dutch instrumental
production of the week with waves of melodic synth supported by tech-tinged
countersynths and energetic rhythm lines with a massive breakdown. Two
mixes.10.49



Longy & Longa "Lick It" Zen GER 12 - Strictly for the bouncy set, this is a
reworking of the old Roula track from the early 90s with the saucy,
suggestive lyrics worked into driving bigroom German trance productions.

Monkz "Nu Bluez" Alternative Route ENG 12 - Janis Joplin vocal samples are
integrated into this chunky, funky progressive production that has created a
major buzz in the UK prog circles. Spacious in feel, but grounded with a
chunky rhythm line and those vocal hooks providing a focus for the
dancefloor. Remix by Shootie on the flip gives the track a techier feel.

NERD "Maybe" Virgin GER 12 - Sander Kleinenberg on the mix for the followup
to the massive "She Wants To Move." Here Kleinenberg creates a driving
progressive-tinged house production that breaks down into the original
guitar and vocals of the track before slowly building back into the
energetic house pace of the track. Solid remix for the bigrooms of what
looks to be another big hit. 10.49



Palava "Surrender" No Easy Love ENG 12 - Massive bigroom progressive cut
with an inspirational male vocal worked into a driving, slightly tribal
rhythm production and spacious, richly orchestrated melodic synth swells and
hooks to create a sound that will fill any room. Includes a breakbeat
reworking on the flip. 10.49



Serenade "Serenade" Pulsar GER 12 - Gorgeous bigroom melodic instrumental
trancer with driving rhythm lines and waves of haunting melodic
orchestrations, in a Rank 1 style, that will easily lead to all hands in the
air. Remix by Angel Ace on the flip is a bit smoother and more restrained
than the original. 10.49



Tantau "Mansonate" Great Stuff GER 12 - Taucher and Tandu teaming up on
this massive German production that is based around driving rhythm lines and
techy synth swells that break down to a flowing melodic counterpoise with a
few male spoken vocal hooks before building back to the original hard-edged
orchestration. Two mixes. 10.49



2 Worlds f/Lizzy Pattinson "Wherever You Go" Q GER 12 - Solid vocal trance
production featuring the vocalist who provides the vocal counterpoise on
Milk & Sugar's reworking of "Let The Sun Shine". Driving rhythm lines,
slightly acidic German melodic synth lines and Lizzy's seductive female
vocals blend perfectly. For those looking for a less aggressive mix, there
are two more melodic interpretations on the flip. 10.49
